Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, singer, and writer, best well-known by the name of Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions until she made it huge in the national theater scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. The same year, She released Her first album of music, It's The Time for Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958 in which she played Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre a dramatic film. The film was a huge commercial success and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's pupil. The actress joined CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise played a wonderful job juggling Broadway and Hollywood. She played somber different characters, which contrasted with the glamorous doll she was perceived as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she's also made her name as an accomplished director on various well-known television shows such as Supernatural or The 100. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto and she lived there for the majority of her childhood and teens. In 1997 after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
