She was the winner of her first surfing competition when she was just 6 with an old surfboard she found on the outside the front of her home. She began surfing at the age of 5 and by the age of 6 had won the first competition. By 7, she received a sponsorship. She was born in San Clemente California and later transferred to Hawaii. Anastasia was born on the 10th of February 1997, in the southern part of California. At the age of 5 she began to learn how to surf, just before moving away from the state of California in Hawaii.
